Great Britain

In a country known for dry gins and heavy ales, wines from Great Britain, more specifically England, are starting to show up in the United States. They will surely face an uphill battle proving they are more than just a novelty. There are about 400 wineries in England, with most of them located in the Kent countryside south and east of London. Most are simplistic whites, but dry, clean and well made. On average, vineyards are only two acres in size.
